The Side Effects Of Clomid

It is absolutely necessary for you to go through a thorough physical examination and have a pregnancy test taken to ensure that you are not pregnant before taking Clomid. Don't ever rule out the possibility of falling pregnant in between Clomid dosages.

Of course, your doctor will perform the necessary tests on you, but you need to check if there are cysts, on or inside your ovaries, as falling pregnant in such a condition might be dangerous for you. Also, any kind of discomfort or weight gain or even pain in the abdomen or pelvic area should not be treated as normal. Even the slightest swelling that you may experience should not be neglected.

Ovulation induced pregnancies can also lead to complications (offshoots from artificial processes) such as conception of twins or triplets etc. A vague possibility, but a possibility nonetheless is the occurrence of an ectopic pregnancy where you could conceive outside the womb.

To avoid the risk of Ovarian Cancer, doctors generally advise their patients to restrict themselves to a maximum of five or six dosages of clomid because sustained treatment could cause unwanted tissue to grow.

Among the lesser side effects you might experience blurriness of vision or slight impairments for the same. So although there remains nothing serious to worry about, if this happens, you might want to get you eyes checked by a trusted opthalmologist.
