When will I ovulate after taking clomid?

After taking Clomid (Clomiphene), which is used for treating infertility in women, you should ovulate in about 5 to 9 days after taking the last Clomid tablet. Clomid works in most cases where there are no complications and induces ovulation within the mentioned period. However you must remember that everyone's body is different, physically and chemically and that means that you may take a slightly longer period to experience ovulation than in other women. But this doesn't meant that it isn't working. For instance if your taking Clomid as per prescription then you will ideally ovulate in the 14th to the 16th day of your cycle. Sometimes, as stated before, because of hormonal differences, you might even ovulate in the 19th day or the 20th day of your cycle.
There is also the option of an Ovulation Predictor Kit. These generally do come for quite a price(£18.00 or $30.00) but it is worth it if you have the money. You receive seven such sticks in a pack that you can use to check if you are ovulating and then take the necessary measures to conceive. The general rule, if your facing a problem and have to use clomid i.e., is that once you ovulate, start pursue timed intercourse or what is clinically known as IUI.
